Biographie Jean de La Fontaine

Nascut in Franta intr-o vreme de ravaseala si durere in provincia Champagne acolo unde cresc strugurii din care se face un foarte bun vin spumos.Este nascut din parinti burghezi, care se ingrijoreaza vazand ca baiatul e cam zapacit si nu prea pare menit a face cine stie ce treburi temeinice in viata.Tatal , om practic doreste sa-l faca om de manastire dar tanarul nu are inclinatie catre viata calugareasca In ultima instanta parintii il insoara si il trimite sa invete dreptul la Paris.
în 1674 este influentat de filozofia lui Pierre Gassendi
in 1664 apare prima culegere de fabule.
